READER: I would never think in all my life that as an America I would ever see that Passage of this new detainee bill.
My question is how does this bill affect the viability of your site and other sites like it?

WRH: Obviously, everyoe who speaks truth to power is a potential target now. Bush has arrogated the authority to himself to "disappear" anyone he does not approve of. He can order the CIA to kill anyone and it is all perfectly legal (As was the case with everything Hitler did). I have watched this state of affairs coming upon this nation for 14 years now, and we are past the point wherw working within the system can improve things because the system itself is corrupt and only the corrupt need apply for admission to the club. Now that he has the power to imprison and kill any citizen without question, Bush's arrogance will start accelerating, and we will see a gun ban fairly soon (as was the case under Hitler) followed by more "pre-emptive wars aganst helpless nations ... until the rest of the world accepts that once again, they will have to team up to stop a rogue imperial nation. And, again following the historical precedent, the US will be destroyed as punishment for the arrogance of its leaders.
Unless We The Poeple put a halt to this nonsense.
